Hello Sam,
I saw your posting and the SLP caught my attention. My mother's maiden name was Cabrera. She is from the area around Santa Maria del Rio in SLP. My grandfather, her father was named Jose Cabrera and my grandmother was Trinidad Loya. Her parent's were named Felix Lugo, my great grandmother, and Mariano Loya, my great-grandfather. My grandmother died last October, she was 88 years old I believe. My grandfather died several years ago, ~10 yrs. My mother talks a lot about Cardenas, San Ciro (sp?), and Rioverde, I am assuming they are all in SLP.
