Hello Lars! Thank you for the e-mail. I do have a copy of "Recollections of an Old Settler" by Christian Cackler, printed in 1874. This may be the same. It has much history of Kent, Ohio. Two years ago, my husband and I visited a Cackler cemetary on Cackler Road at Streetsboro, Ohio and also a approx. 200 yr. old homestead across the road. I still cannot fill in the huge gap between my grandfather and the Christian Cackler family. Although I do know they were in Iowa & Illinois before coming to Oklahoma.
