Lars, do you have any history of what Christian Cackler Sr's brothers were doing when Christian came to Ohio in 1804 with his two sons. Some where a Cackler man found a Shawnee Indian girl around the 1774 time frame and either adopted her or kept her as a slave for the family. I sent Clint Wagner a copy of the old tintype picture of her in her latter years. The Story Teller for The Shawnee Remanant Tribe told me that in the picture she looked in her mid to late seventies. I haven't found where she is buried at yet, probably Ohio or W.Va. I would enjoy hearing from you. I am kin to the Cacklers thru James Farley and Mary Cackler. Harold Brinegar wwbrinegar@cs.com
