Dear Diana,

I believe that your query re W. Heber Caddy refers to William Heber Caddey (b.1879, d.11.11.1918) the son of Thomas Caddey (b.1855England d. 1926) also buried at Banner Cemetery. Thomas is the son of William and Julianna who emigrated from England around 1858 with three small sons.

Reference to W. Heber is made in the Canadian WWI records, showing his attestation papers as well as those of his brother James. To find these you need to look up www.archives.ca/ and click on English, then genealogy under Research heading on the left of the screen, then Military Records under genealogical sources in Canada, then First World War Records, then Search the Database, then type in Caddey (with the 'e'), then click on Submit Query.

We have some other information on other members of this family including living descendants in Canada and US if you need it.

Good Luck
Philip Caddey
