Terry, Good to hear from an old neighbor, from MI. Yes my home sits on land that was Cadieux farm land.
My maternal grandmother, Sophia was the daughter of Louis Joseph Leduc/LaDuke and Frances Thersa Cadieux.
I am on the boarder of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Here in Detroit, MI at our main library we have many resources to our French-Candian Heritage. I also belong to The French-Canadian Heritage Society of Michigan. The society is on line and their publication is very well done with lots of info.
I have proven our line of Cadieux's back to France.
I see you found Michael Cadieu's birth among my info at this site. I looked a long time for him. When the PRDH came on line I found him -it was not easy since the names were misspelled. I also have all his sibblings that were recored in Quebec up until the year 1799. Michael was married here at St. Anne's ,Detroit-I see you have that info He also is buried at St. Paul's on the Lake Church cemetery with his wife , Archange & a baby or two.
I believed Zoe Cadieux & her husband Charles LaFlamme lived two streets over from me - I will look it up & e-mail what I can find out. Good Hunting cousin Valerie Naughton
