Dear Valerie,

You sound like quite a busy lady. I must say we have a much smaller family. My daughter Amanda is 23, got married last year (1 month after graduating college) and is teaching second graders in Illinois, just across the border from St. Louis.

I had a son Raymond, who died from meningitis many years ago. He would have turned 20 in just a few days. I've wondered if somehow he was spared the troubles we're having right now with terrorism.

No grandchildren yet, but I do have two grand dogs and two grand cats :-). As I said last night, my folks and older brother live near Asheville NC, and I have two sisters that recently moved to Dallas.

I wish I could show you how to use your scanner, it really is quite easy. If my husband can use one, anyone can. I'd love to take you up on the offer to gather some information from St. Paul's but I don't want to put you to any trouble. The only thing I can think of for sure would be a photo of the Payet tombstones from St. Paul's cemetary.

I'm still hoping to hear something from St. Paul's in the next month or two. Sister Ruth Ann put me in touch with a Father John West who she says is related to me through the Paye side of the family. I emailed him yesterday evening, hopefully I'll hear back from him.

Sorry to hear about your back, I know how painful that can be. My dad recently had surgery and seems to be doing much better. It's amazing how quickly they get you in and out of the hospital now. I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago and was only in for 1 day. Used to be much longer.

I would love to spend time with you looking up information, I'll be sure to look you up whenever I'm able to get there.
By the way, do you have an email address I can contact you at? It will be easier than going through the forum.

I was pleased to also hear that you were related through the Paye side as well. I'll check out the information you posted on the Cadieux site and use it to fill in my records.

Sometime over the next couple of days, I'll send you a file with the information I have on the Paye's and Cadieux's so we can compare notes.

In the meantime, I'd best get going.

Take care, look forward to hearing from you again.

Terry
