Jerome Russell was married to Pollay Ann Ward. In the 1850 federal census they are shown living in Elida, Winnebago, Illinois.
However, in the 1856 Iowa State Census, Jerome Russell, age 35, is first in the household list and he is marked married. Rhoda Ann, age 20, is next in the list and she is marked married.
Then all of the same children are named with one newborn child. Finally, Polly Ann Ward (her maiden name)is named and NOT marked married. Kind of interesting. I believe this is the Jerome Russell and Polly Ann Cadjew you are seeking info on.
There is some evidence that Jerome Russell was buried in Canada and that Polly Ann Ward was there when he was buried.
