I am at a dead and with this spelling and have researched the surnames; Croto, Crotteau, came up negative, in the Wood County, Wi. area. Can anyone tell me if the name Catraw and Cadieux sound similar in french?
Frank Catraw was born in Canada May,1813 and emigrated to Wi. area in 1836. He married a Native, name unknown, of Wi. abt 1850 and had a daughter Margarete in 1853 in Wood County, Wi.
