Your info on Anastasia & Thomas Pleasant Asher is the same that I got from "The History of Blanco County", except the spelling of her first husband's name -- I show she was first married to George Culver Tenille 7/2/1846 in Gonzales County. He was born 12/29/1825, Saline County, Missouri.According to "Blanco County Heritage", her marriage to Thomas P. Asher took place on 10-18-1850, the same day as Annie's divorce from her first husband, George C. Tennelle. But other sources list her marriage date to Thomas as 4-22-1850, several months before her divorce was granted. At this time, I don't know which one is accurate, but I believe that perhaps Annie & Thomas lived together as husband and wife before her divorce was final, then were married on the day of her divorce. The Asher account of this marriage gives the earlier date. Anastasia died 1/18/1913 in Blanco & is buried in Blanco, TX.The "History of BLanco County" also indicates that after Thomas P. Asher died in 1856, Anastasia remarried Eli Collins (related to her son-in-law?) in 1859.They had 5 children:Eliza, John R., Amanda, James P. & Dora M.
As you can see, the Asher, Caffal, Tenille, Clements families are all intertwined, several different ways.Glad we have computers to try to untangle them all.
