By the way, George C. Caines's grandfather was Sam(uel) Caines, a
well-known preacher in Horry County. He was married to Tilly Stalvey.
Several of George's uncles (Henry's brothers) moved into North Carolina in the general area between Tabor City and Whiteville. Your best source of information is likely Henyard Caines who now lives in
Loris, SC. He is George's nephew, son of the youngest brother and I
understand he has researched the family background, though I have not
spoken to him about it. I also know more about the family but both Grandpa Henry and Granma Addie died before I was born. My mother has shared much of the family history as she grew up in the same community and remebers George and the others. Best wishes
