REV SAMUEL JAMES CAINES BORN IN GEORGETOWN COUNTY 11-30-50, MARRIED TO TILLIE STALUEY CAINES, WAS A DESCENDENT OF WILLIAM HENRY CAINES BORN 3-18-77 IN HORRY COUNTY, MARRIED TO SARAH ALINE BOYD HARDEE CAINES BORN 5-02-69, WAS A DESCENDENT OF BAYNARD COLIGNY CAINES BORN 9-2-10 IN HORRY COUNTY. SAM CAINES BORE WILLIAM HAZELTON CAINES ON 10-18-1830 AND HE MARRIED SARAH REBECCA SMITH CAINES. SOME CENSUS RECORDS SHOW HIS BIRTH TO BE AS EARLY AS 1824. FAMILY BIBLES SHOW IT AS 1830. THEY BORE SAMUEL JAMES B.11-03-50, JOHN THOMAS B.02-26-52, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN B.09-05-58, GEORGE CHRISTIN B.11-05-61, MARGARET ELLEN B.02-22-66, CATHERINE REBECCA B.04-24-68, AND MARY CALLIE B.09-04-70 AND WILLIAM RICHARD B. 3-15-1855 IN GEORGETOWN, SC. HE WAS A BAPTIST MINISTER AND MARRIED LEURANEY BARNES. THEY HAD 10 CHILDREN, GEORGIA MAE, SAMUEL KINCHEN, IDA E., ORA LILLIE, CORNIE DARE, ROXIE RAINEY, LINA ALMA, BESSIE, WILLIAM RICHARD II, AND JAMES CHADBOURN. JAMES CHADBOURN CAINES SR. IS MY GREAT GRANDFATHER.
