hello laura it appears your husbands grand ma was hazel violet born alpena S.D. her father william george married Libby jane Lillie1886 wWoonsocket Sanborn S.D, G.W. born alpena 1857 I think it would be fairly easy to trace you husbands family in the states all the cakebreads are from england two main branches east anglia and oxford the earliest record 1109 3 brothers Wulfnoth Hunningus Edwinus . fen ditton , Cambrigeshire unfortunately no bakers they were nearly all yeoman farmers as you probably know they were among the earliest settler s on the willouby fleet the Mayflower was one of the ships in the fleet
