Cakebread genetic project

A couple of us have started a DNA project for the Cakebread family name. The aim is to provide information using genetics where the paper trail ends. The project is open to male Cakebread's only as it is the Y DNA that is tested (females carry only Mt DNA (Mitocondrial))
The test will confirm links in our research and also link branches where no evidence exists anymore.
I researched lots of companies and finally chose Familytreedna.com
They seem to offer a wide range of tests for all budgets plus the have a huge database of previously tested individuals which is essential in finding new relatives.
The test is a simple swab on the inside of the cheek. The results take a few weeks to come back.
The DNA tested is "Junk" DNA. no value at all (except for Genealogy luckily).
