I have been going through my records of the CALCOTE family, as well as checking in my book on the CALCOTE family. Let me begin at the start of my research:

I first researched the family name of CALCOTE in all of the United States Federal Census records. I found several families named Calcote where I was unable to make a connection. Those did not go into my book.

Along with the census records, I researched many other types of records to supplement my findings; these included land & tax records, judicial proceedings, marriage records, Bible records and numerous other records that are too lengthy to mention here.

I believe, from my findings, that my family's first Calcote in the colonies was a seaman from England, he arrived about 1670 in the Colony of Virginia. Through census and many other records, I followed him & his descendants thru the years to South Carolina and on to the Mississippi Territory.
I have looked thru my research notes & my book. I cannot find a mention of a Willie R. Calcote. I regret that I have not been of any help to you. Frances
