My grandmother, Hester Eliza Murry Bolen, told my mother that Dude and his wife had twin sons. Dude accidently killed 1 son while they were on a hunting trip. Millard had a son, John, and a daughter, Dafner. Levi was crippled. She believed that her mother said that Levi's brother lived near Eldorado, TX. Many years ago my mother's father, Claud Oren Bolen, used to stop there and visit when he was in the area. Some years ago (1940s or 1950s?) a Mexican man who had worked for the Calcotes went into the house and killed all the family. My mother vaguely remembered her father telling her about that story also.
My mother wrote another story about the Calcote brothers but it is too late for me to write it now. I am trying to figure out how I am related to the Calcotes. My mother's uncle Walter Bolen said, "Aunt Mat and Uncle Cal".
