There were many many Calcotes (many different spellings, also) in Mississippi, all of them related. So, I am not positive that the Levi Gibson Calcote you seek is the same Levi Gibson Calcote of my records, but I think so.

Levi Calcote moved from Mississippi to Louisiana with his parents, William Cade Calcote and Mary Ellisor Calcote in mid 1830s. Levi then aligned with and lived nearby his brothers-in-law 1) Isaiah Parker who married Dicey Ann Calcote and 2) Robert Anderson Parker who married Mary Jane Calcote. After the CW, Levi moved west into Texas with Robert and Mary Jane Calcote Parker. They settled in Milam Co. Texas and Levi again lived nearby.

I can give you more information on their events if you need it. Let me know.
