Frances Calcote Brite has pub. a book (now on sale under $60) "Calcote Family Journey" that is an excellent work. On Nov. 19, 1997 the Pleasanton Express (newspaper in Pleasanton, TX) had an article by Ms. Brite that says in part, "A monument, with a bronze marker affixed, honors the memory of John Calcote, Sr., a Revolutionary soldier and pioneer. The monument is located in Brookhaven, MS."
The dedication was on Oct. 18, 1997.
