Claire - sorry not to have spotted your message before. Randolph was some sort of cousin to my mother's family, but I haven't yet found the exact link. He was the son of John Caldecott, a Hatter who lived at 150 Bridge St., Chester, in 1846. His mother was Mary Dinah, née Brookes. I hadn't found his wife, so thanks for that.
