Nancy the name is pete Johnson have been monitoring this forum. Do have the information you seek on the Calderwoods in scotland. As far as the history goes a french knight befiended the king and was granted lands of east Kilbride Scotland that include polton which is just outside of glasgow check with doug short for maps of the region. In about the forteenth century his family had had the castle and polton house built, photos are on the web also have some in my collection. also history says that a james C died in the service of the usa in 1776 at the battle of Brandywine and he is the progenitor of th pennsyvania group contact James Clanin of Wichita Falls Tx for more info there or write to a glen Calderwood of portage bay penn., he has full history on that group. a note of information catherwood is one of scotish forms of the name Calderwood. if I may be of more help can send the detail history of the family or again contact Doug short because he has it to send out Pj out
