I just found this forum and am interested.
I am a Calderwood by adoption. My natural father is Allen D. Heffington, Olyimpia, WA, but I was adpoted at the age of 3 days by my aunt and uncle.
I was raised by Dr. David Calderwood:

My uncle on his wife's side. (I think I got that right!)
So I do consider myself a Calderwood, as do my sons.
I do know that my "uncle" Jack King of many years on the state Senate in Washington State was actually my grandfather.
Go figure......
My adoptive mom was Mary Louise King/Calderwood
