Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Hi Ellen,
I really need to check the message boards more often! My Calderwood ancestry goes both to Mary and Jesse, sister and brother of your Jonathan. I'm working on a Calderwood Genealogy based on Jesse T. Calderwood's "Calderwood Genealogy." Some lines are easy to trace and others, not so easy. My lines are:
John, Mary (m. John Smith) Eleanor (m. Silas Mills)Stephen Mills, Lucy Jane Mills (m. Frederick Hamlin Calderwood) Christie (m. William Emery Whitney) Austin Calderwood Whitney (M. Helen Genevieve McTiernan) Me, Marion Whitney Martin.
The other lineage is: John, Jesse,Willard,Frederick, Christie, Austin Whitney, Me.
You can see where the two lines converge. In such a closed area as the "Fox Islands" cousins often married.
I will send you a copy of those i have of Jonathan's descendants to date, but I need your e-mail address. Mine is marionm 112 @ sc.rr com without the spaces.
Marion
