I am searching for my ancestor, John Calderwood who left to help build the Panama canal. He subsequently moved to Nicaragua following the gold rush where he married and left behind many descendants. Today we are a beautiful and proud mixture of Scottish, French, Spanish and indigenous Niquirano Indian who still bear his name. Any information would be welcome. Thanks !
