For online information on Calderwood Castle please go to Put in Calderwood as the search subject in Lanarkshire area. Find East Kilbride News Archive Pages dated 3/11/99 and 27/10/99. This gives a considerable history of the Castle. Since having bought a home computer around a year ago I have been trying to search back my ancestors but have not had much luck either with Calderwood or Jamieson. I still have relations living in East Kilbride and visited the castle remains a couple of years ago. I was upset to find that housing development now extends to the very edge of the valley with much of the woodland destroyed. How does your family tie back please?? Best Regards Doug.
