Good Evening Peter

Thanks for your two followup's. Please advise - Have you looked at the East Kilbride News Website I suggested??

You are a million miles in front of me with research - I am age 51, not yet very computer literate and have not really got past information from family. Have you come across the General Register Office for Scotland @ http://wood.ccta.gov.uk/grosweb/grosweb.nsf This has a Data Library of earlier Births, Marriages and Deaths which is downloadable. Unfortunately I tried last night and totally messed up, (I think by opening the wrong file type). My younger Daughter is away on holiday this week so I hope she can sort it out on return. Question: Have you looked back for a Calderwood marrying a Bell to provide the possible tenuous link of related Surname becoming second Christian name?? If you have not, and the data on the site mentioned really is downloadable, and you could find such a marriage, would this be the opportunity to go some way bacwards to origins to move forward??
