George W. Smith was born about 1819 according to census records, not 1826. He wouldn't have married in 1838 at age 12. The way you listed info suggests you found info from a certain person who has put a lot of misinformation online. His trademark is having everybody live to about 100. George W. Smith moved to Knox Co. Illinois, then to Iowa, & finally Cass Co. Missouri where he died Dec. 15, 1894. He married Sarah Shoemaker after Martha's death, & later Sarah's sister Susan Shoemaker on Feb. 4, 1872 in Cass Co. Missouri. George W. had brothers I can't find any info on, impossible with the name of Smith. George W. lived next to his father Solomon after he married. There were Calhoons living nearby, but have never found which family Martha belonged to.

Do you have Gee family from Knox Co. Illinois? My ancestor Elizabeth Smith Hale, sister of the above George W., had a daughter Alva (Elva) who married Henry Gee Sept. 1, 1870 in Knox Co.
