Sam Calhoon (Calhoun)

I am researching my Calhoon(Calhoun) family line. (I have actually seen it listed both ways--even for the same person!) My gggrandfather's name was Sam Calhoon and was born in Tennessee, date unknown. He married an Amanda White, also from Tennessee. I feel fairly certain that it was eastern TN. They had seven children, (4 girls and 3 boys) one of which is my ggrandfather, William Jessie Calhoon, born June 12, 1895, in TN. My ggrandfather lived a majority of his life in Texas and eventually died there. I do not know if the entire family migrated to Texas. Any help would be appreciated.
