Hi Pat,
Licking Co is near Columbus. We did research there and at Newark where the courthouse is. Muskingum next to it. It looks to me like it is approximately in the middle of the State. The John Calhoon that I think is Andrew's father(no proof yet) was from Muskingum Co. and got a land grant in Zanesville, OH. The land was in Licking Co. where my Andrew was born in 1820 according to his Civil War records. Sure are a lot of Calhoon/Calhouns with the same name aren't there? My Calhoons came to Fulton Co. Il.
