I am looking for info on Sarah Calhoun who married Dr. Walter Robinson. She supposedly was related to John C Calhoun. She had three children with Dr. Walter Robinson:
Emma Calhoun Robinson, Walter John Robinson, and Mary (aka Minnie)Robinson.
Emma's birthday was 20 Jan 1855 (or so).Emma married John Brandon in Texas and had 3 children, including a daughter Mary Frances (aka Minnie) Brandon, and she had a daughter also named Minnie. Supposedly the name Mary aka "Minnie" was a tradition handed down by the Calhouns.
Sarah was educated and taught music. Dr Walter was a physician and had a business partner Dr. Morris. Dr. Robinson died early and Dr. Morris courted and married Sarah Calhoun Robinson two years later. They had two children, Jimmie and Fannie Morris.
I would love to find out more about Sarah and Walter.
If you know where to look for information about those in medicine in GA or SC or AL in mid 1800s I would be very appreciative. THANKS.
These two people have been my "brick walls" for years. ANY HELP would be appreciated.
THANKS
Diane
