Hi Emma;

I am looking at Volume 1 of "Our Calhoun Family" written by my father. On page 164, there is a John Wesley Calhoun born 1836 died 1896 and lived in Johnston, SC. He is the son of John L. Calhoun 1802-1837 & Agnes Griffen-Stovall 1798-1886.
My father shows John Wesley Calhoun's wife as being Almeda Susan Mounce, married aug. 18, 1864. It may be possible that my father had the spelling of her name wrong.

Are you sure of her name being Almena Counts?

Owen Calhoun
