Hi Anne,
I have Benitha CALK and Evans WHARTON in my files. They had 10 children. I checked my files and I don't have any info on her parents or further back. What has always interested me in this line is that my grandfather was named Alonzo Evans CALK and after about 30 years of research (and many, many records and files) I have never found how his middle name of Evans came into the family. As the name of Evans WHARTON is given as his given name, I've wondered where he obtained his name. If you are interested in exchanging and compairing what info we do have in our files, I'd be interested.
Wayne
