Hi Linda,
Angeline married Henry B YOUNG on 29 Sep 1878, prob. in Montgomery Co., IL
William Henderson CAULK did not have a brother named James P CAULK. His brother was named James Nathaniel CAULK. Perhaps you were refering to the father who was named James Patterson CAULK. But, I do not believe that Tandy was a son of this man because his mother would have only been 14 when Tandy was born. Not impossible but there would have been a gap of over six years before the next child was born. I believe that highly unlikely because once children were being born, they continued to be born every year or so. Althought a lot of children died in infancy, I believe that at least one would have survived in those six years. The mother only being 14 and a six year gap doesn't seem like a very good prospect for Tandy to be a son of that marriage.
I do not have the book that Gerald CAULK published. I suggest that you take it with a grain of salt and check out the sources for yourself. He has a lot of good data in it but still check it our for yourself. He stopped by for a visit before he published the book and showed it to me. I know for a fact that he has references in the book where the name in the reference has been changed from CALK to CAULK because he believed that it should be spelled that way. There are a number of references where the same person can be found with records under the spelling of CAULK and CALK but he list them with the spelling of just CAULK.
I will be more than happy to help you if I can and will exchange the info I have with you. I can also put you in touch with other researchers on this line if you want.
Wayne
