Hi Cuz,
Somewhere in my files I have a record in which Elijah Calk was a witness to a record (I believe in Lexington Co., SC)in about 1790. What's interesting is that he was a witness for Capt. Phileman WATERS, who was the commanding officer for William & James CALK of Lexington Co., SC during the Rev. War. I have always believed that Elijah was a younger brother to these two men and to young to have fought in the Rev. War. This document puts him in the same area as William & james and as also knowing the same people.
I don't remember if this info was put in the CALK Newsletter which i published for 8 years or was something I learned after I stopped publishing the newsletter a couple of years ago.
Wayne
