Calkins Treasure Trove
Recently the Indian Wells Valley Genealogy Society was donated several boxes of books. Included was a trash bag of personal family tree and history of Susan Smith.Ms Smith apparently spent many years tracing her husbands and her family trees. There are two boxes of handwritten histories, wills, death certificates, land grants etc too numerious to mention.Only a couple of family photos. The immediate family did not want any of this paperwork and we, as a group, could not throw it away.
The main five family names are:
Huffacker, Calkins, Dickey, Emerson and Smith. It really is a treasure trove.
Any one that is related to this family group is welcome to the two boxes of information.
This notice has also been posted on the Huffaker and Dickey sites. Please help us find a home for this family tree.
Thank you
