Right at the moment, I cannot put you in touch with any close kinsmen, although I hope we can dfevelop some contacts.
I think I can give your ancestral line back to the immigrants, but first we need to make sure we are we talking about the same people.
The database of the Calkins Family Assn lists a DFeWitt Calkins b 1867 in NY, who married Hetty (Unknown). We list children as Floyd, b Mar 1893; Emerson Murphy, b Nov 1896 who married Edna Dewe; and then we list Raymond b Jan 1898. However, we do not list a Laura Mae Calkins nor a Grace. We have had omissions before, so I am not too worried about that, but I would like to confirm that the other data sounds like your family. If so, do you have any explanation for our difference in data? Such as, perhaps, Raymond died as an infant, so was not remem,bered by your Mother.
