Hello, JL;
The DNA Project coordinator for the Calkins Family Association is Al Calkins. Reach him at al.calkins@gmail.com.
However, the DNA sample needs to be from a male line descendant. Do you have a male cousin surnamed Calkins who will participate?
Even if the DNA shows that you are descended from immigrants Hugh and Ann, it will not help much in determining the specific line. I think we are better trying to find the father of John, and then his line. Was the wife of Walter Monroe Calkins Charlotte Kloeckner? I searched for him once without much luck. Do you have any other information for John F. Calkins (wife, birth or death dates, area he lived, etc) that we might use to search? John was such a common Calkins name that we need more help.
Regards, Ken Calkins
