Ken, Thank you for the reply. I have nothing on Charles except the one census. I'm not even sure if the "C.A." initials on that census stands for Charles Alfred. I am researching his brother Arthur's line. The Miner Smith Calkins line that migrated to the Washington Terr. is a confusing family; many marriages, divorces, duplicate names and so on. I'm not sure how accurate Mary Wedge Calkins' obit is. It was probably given by son Hubert or Arthur or a grandchild. You seem to be a repository for Calkins data and I will give you what I have found here in WA State if you don't already have it.
