The Clinton County Historical Museum in Plattsburgh, NY, has recently put on display the autograph album of Phebe M. Calkins, daughter of Turner Calkins and Lydia Allen of Peru, NY. Instead of signatures, the album has little hair wreaths made of her relatives' hair. There are over 60 hair wreaths of people who were in her family in the mid 1800s. Maybe you share DNA with some of the "autograph" donors. It's a fascinating piece of history.
