Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I have two conflicting pieces of data in my tree. One is a record of Benjamin Calkins, b. Peru NY, 1819 to Seth and Lydia Calkins, m. (1) Julia A. (Unknown),b. 1833 NY, and (2) Albertine R. (Unknown) Abt. 1850. All except the birth date is found in the "Calkins Family in America." The other is the Tombstone Transcript from the Calkins Cemetery in Peru which reads "Benjamin, son of Seth and Lydia, died 3 Feb 1824 in his sixth year." They obviously are the same person, and it doesn't seem likely that Seth and Lydia had seven children in 8 or 9 years, then stopped for 6 or 7 years, then had another Benjamin. Can anybody help me straighten this mess out?
