Hi Jann - My Daniel Callaghan was born around 1814 in Ireland, emigrated to Ontario Canada prior to August of 1846 which is when his oldest child was born. In 1851 there is a family of Daniel Callaghan(s) living in Brant Co. ON. It could be my family with two discrepancies, their birth dates are 6 years off and they have an older child with them who I am unaware of. In 1871 he and his family lived in Oxford Co. ON. I thought he may have immigrated with the Robinson Settlers but until recently there was no one listed with the name Daniel Callaghan. I just found the name on the National Archives website listed with the Robinson Settlers but do not know how this change came tobe or if there is any connection to my family.I just have not been able to find out anything further. In 1876 Daniel and his family moved to BC Canada where the descendants live today. Hopefully you have some information to shed some light on my brickwall. Thank you
