Thank you Ellen,
The posting you responded to was 2007. Since then I have obtained cornelius (O)Callaghan's death certificate for 1873 and his place of death in Ballydaheen, Mallow. His place of birth was in Glantane, Kilshannig nr Mallow around 1873 to 1831 (he likely stretched his birth date to enlist in the army in 1846 during the famine. He had three children in Mallow between 1870 and 1874. The last child born after his death in 1873. His wife Elizabeth then took the children (4 in total) to her home in Belfast, living in Sevastopol Street of Falls Road, until her death there in 1879. I am now tracking Cornelius's family from Glantane (Kilshannig) and welcome any help as records there are as rare as hens teeth.
