Any info on Jerry (Jeramiah?)Callaghan, born 1835, Ireland?

Probably from Cork, arrived in New Orleans around 1848, most ;ikely from Cork.

I found in the 1880 Census of New Orleans that my great-great grandfather Jerry Callaghan, married wife Anna McGill in New Orleans in 1870.

The 1880 New Orleans census lists 7 children, all born in New Orleans, and one mother born in Ireland.

Approximate birth years are are: Joseph (b1864); Mary (1871); John (1873); Marguerite (1875)Michael James (1877); Jerry (1879) and willie (1882).

Mother winnerferd Canaan, born in Ireland in about 1814.

Any potential connections would be appreciated. Especially to Irelan or New Orleans or Louisiana.
