I'm looking for information about my great grandfather; Denis Callaghan, and his family...he was born in Rawtenstall, Lancaster, England on Mar 24, 1870 to Thomas and Mary Callaghan. He would later immigrate to Fall River, MA in 1892. Shortly after the death of his wife; Ellen, in 1920 he just disappeared leaving his 3 sons to fends for themselves. Thomas was born in Ireland but I don't know where. I am having a very hard time making the jump from England to Ireland as all records I could find just state that he was born in Ireland. Does anyone have any ideas about making the jump?
