Looking for Callier's of Dallas, Texas
Hi,
My husband is a descendant of Frank C. Callier b. 1847 in Talbot, GA (through his daughter Homer). He had a brother named Edward.I found a document stating the two brothers came to Texas before 1860 and their father died in the Civil War as a POW. (father's name was not given)
I found only three Calliers in Texas in 1860 (Hardin Co.) all from GA all staying in a hotel. The eldest was Richard Callier b. 1825 (probably their uncle), and Frank (12) & Ed (8).Due to the boys age, they most likely traveled with Richard to Texas.
I know there were Calliers from Talbot Co. GA, but have no clue who Frank or Ed's parents are.
Frank settled in the Dallas, Texas area.
Frank married Mary Alice Fox and they had the following children: Alice, Edward, Homer, Shirley, Emma, Frank Jr., Mary 'Nix', & Stratton. Some family members are buried at Greenwood Cem., Dallas, Tx
Edward settled in the Houston County area and married Caroline Margaret ?Unknown they had the following children: Lucy, John B., Carrie? & Thomas Edward. Some family members are buried at Evergreen Memorial Park, Crockett, Houston, Tx
There are still Calliers in the Dallas area.If anyone has info. on these families, especially who the parents of Frank and Ed are, please e-mail me!Thanks, Lisa
