Mosis A. Callihan was one of original Stephen F Austin Texas Colonist. Need his relationship to Rebecca Thomas.

THOMAS, REBECCA;       Need parents names of Rebecca Thomas. Rebecca had uncle Callihan. Need relationship from Mosis Callihan to Exekiel Thomas. All these related to Stephen F. Austin 300 colonist to Texas.

ALLEN, SAMUEL WILLIAM (1826-1888). Samuel Allen, cattleman, was born in Frankfort, Kentucky, on January 2, 1826. He was married in Harris County, Texas, on May 9, 1844, to Rebecca Jane THOMAS, daughter of Ezekiel THOMAS.qv

Samuel William Allenqv started ranching on the south side of Buffalo Bayou, now the Houston Ship Channel,qv about eight miles east of Houston. His wife, Rebecca Thomas, daughter of Ezekiel Thomas,qv inherited 350 acres from her uncle, M. A. Callihan,qv that became part of the Allen Ranch.

The census of 1826 listed Thomas as a farmer and stock raiser aged between twenty-five and forty. He had a wife, Elizabeth, and two small daughters.

CALLIHAN, MOSIS A. (?-?). Mosis A. Callihan (Morris Callahan) was a partner of Allen Vinceqv as one of Stephen F. Austin'sqv Old Three Hundredqv colonists. The pair received title to a league of land now in Harris County on August 3, 1824.
