Neal A. Callihan's daughter, Susana, was my grandmother.

Neal served in the Civil War at Ft. Fisher, NC as a drummer
in the 3rd Co. B, 36th Regiment N.C.T. He was 16 years
old at the time. Sometime later he became a preacher.
He was blind for about the last 15 years of his life but
he built the chimney for my grandmother's house. I have
two bricks from the chimney with the date and his initials.
He is buried at Mt. Horeb Pres. Church in Bladen County,
NC on Hwy NC87.

I am trying to find out more about his grandfather, Issac
Callihan. He was born in 1776 in Cork, Ireland and I
understand that he married and Indian woman named Nancy
(or Nicey) Jones. Any info would be appreciated.
