Sarah Cameron of East Nissouri, Ontario in early 1800's
In the early 1800's Donald Mcdonell and Sarah Cameron, daughter of Alexander Cameron and Sarah Parks, were the first couple married in East Nissouri, Oxford, Ontario at the home of the grooms step-father William O’Brien. These facts I can verify.
My interest is in Donald Mcdonell (aka Mcdonald/MacDonald) who lived on lot 7 con 9 in East Nissouri. I was able to find a lot of information on Sarah’s side of the family. However, on the Mcdonell side there are several strong clues but none can be verified.
Est. Donald was born in eastern district (Quebec) about 1799 and died 1-Oct-1876 (Obit shows Mcdonell), in Oxford. They had six kids; Margaret (1839), Mary (1833), Sarah (1835), Allan (1836) and John (1842).
Any thing you can tell me about Donald, his parents, or family will be greatly appreciated.
