Cane family of Minnesota
Posted by: Margret Atwood (ID *****0358) Date: July 23, 2006 at 21:56:20

James A. Cane was born about 1860 in Minnesota. According to the censuses, both his parents were born in Ireland. He married Mary? who was also from Irish parents. They had 6 children: James, Frank, Mary, Thomas, Alexander, and Helen.

Frank's full name was Michael Francis. It appears that he was married to Rose? and living in Michigan in the 1920 census. By 1930 he had married Jaclyn (written Jacalind)Argo Carhart, and they are living in Minnesota. Also, living with them is Jaclyn's son, Argo.

A 1940 city directory for New Haven, CT, showed Michael and Jaclyn (written Jacqueline). In 1958 & 59 his name again appears in city directories for Hamden with a wife Florence.

Has anyone done research on the family of James Cane? I am trying to find what happened to Michael Francis' wife, Jaclyn.

Thank you.
