Pat - go to Chester Co., PA forum and type in Cain. There is some info there on Thomas Cain.
I asked a poster if they knew if Thomas Cain had a will and she wrote back that he didn't but had enough "stuff" that his estate had an administrator. She said you can write the Chester County Archives to find out what was written.

Here is their website: http://dsf.chesco.org/archives/site/default.asp

Go to: http://dsf.chesco.org/archives/cwp/view.asp?a=3&Q=612559&PM=1

to see a bunch of Cains listed, Thomas included -
