There were several unrelated O'Cathain septs in Ireland now bearing the names Kane/Cane etc. If you want to learn which sept (clan) your Kanes belonged to, then you need a male Kane relation willing to join the Cain DNA project at www.familytreedna.com/public/Cain-Caine
