Dear Bill, I am researching the Cain family of county Durham, and have two Selby Cains in my family. Selby used as first name here: Selby Cain ,born 1896 in Chesterlestreet, Durham, England, and his son Selby Cain, born 1919 in Gateshead, Durham England. Also someone else of this forum has Selby Cane as a surname, have you contacted her? janetchopkins@hotmail.com It just seems odd, maybe the Cains/Canes once lived in a place called Selby?
